Olivia Stewart has just found out that her sister, Eleanor, has died, and she suspects foul play. She travels to California under a different name to try to find her sisters killer. Her first suspect is her sister's fiance, Harrison. She behaves very rudely to him at first, until she gets to know him better and convinces herself that he could not have killed her sister. The two begin to fall in love, but he still does not know her true identity. In the mean time, several attempts have been made to kill Olivia.
I didn't realize when I requested this book that it was the third in a series. So when it came I was disappointed that I had not read the first two and worried that it might be confusing. I don't know if this book follows the other two or not, but it was not a problem at all picking up on the third book.
This book was very easy to jump into. Some books start out really slow and it's hard to follow until you get 1/3 of the way in. But as soon as I started reading this book, I had a hard time putting it down. Both of the main characters were very likeable, and I liked how Olivia was not a believer, but was able to to learn more of God from Harrison. A man who is strong in his faith is the most attractive kind of man. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am anxious to find more of her books.
I received this book for free from the publisher through the booksneeze.com book review program. I was not required to write a positive review.
